On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Seminole County High School sponsored a first-time event - a Back the Blue Parade to honor police officers, firemen, and medical first responders who are so vital to the safety, health, and welfare of our community. In an unprecedented time of unrest and division, we wanted to show unity and support for all those who live and work in our community who come to our aid in times of trouble and emergency. The parade included music from the Seminole County High School Green Machine, a display of the first responder vehicles, and applause from the students, faculty and staff. Thank you to all who participated and especially the Seminole County Middle High School Student Council who helped to make this event a success. Also, the administration, staff, and students want to say a very special thank you to all of the men and women in blue who work tirelessly to protect and serve our community. We appreciate you!
After the parade, the honorees attended a reception in the Ag barn where they were served bar-b-que lunch by the Student Council members. Thank you to all those who made the lunch possible - especially the SCMHS Ag Department (Mr. Dusty Smith). Also, thank you to Parth Patel, our Senior Class President, who donated his personal money to fund the luncheon.
