The SCMHS Athletic Booster Club exceeded their financial budget goal for the 2020-2021 school year, thanks to a cow's donation (twice) on a bingo board at the Seminole County Recreation Department.
The Lambert's allowed one of their cows to visit the Recreation Department on Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. for the "Cow Plop." Whichever square on the field the cow made a deposit, someone won a sum of money. The first two deposits won $500 each. Those winners were Parth Patel and Clint Mims. The time limit was two hours for Pam the cow to make three deposits. Unfortunately, Pam didn't have it in her to make that final deposit worth $5,000. However, with careful planning from our wonderful Athletic Booster Club they were prepared to have non-partisan judges draw a name from a box. Each person who graciously bought a ticket to support our Athletic Department had their name in the box. The name drawn, which was seen live on Facebook, was Mitchell Womble! As you can see in the picture above, Mr. Womble seems very excited to collect his $5,000 check.
It has been an amazing feat that our Athletic Booster Club exceeded their financial budget goal for 2020-2021 in the midst of COVID-19 and all of the restrictions on gate sales at athletic events to limited concession sales at athletic events.
Our people in Seminole County and beyond who support our Indians need to be recognized and appreciated. It is astounding how this community constantly works for the betterment of our students and athletes at SCMHS.
Our Athletic Booster Club definitely needs to be recognized and appreciated as well. This group of tireless workers completely "wows" everyone every time we turn around with their work and hospitality. We are grateful for each and every person who is a member or who helps the Athletic Booster Club. It take a Tribe to make it all happen.
Thank you all, from SCMHS!
Go Indians!
